PROMOTIONS
It is essential that all groups promote their activities to ensure that potential members know they exist and are attracted to them enough to want to join them. If you are not “SEEN” you are invisible to the public eye and you are not giving your group a fair chance at survival. Some groups have too many members, most do not.
The Royal offers several ways for you to promote your activities.
1 The Royal’s “WHAT’S ON” page on the web site is for our groups to promote their events. It is a free service. You need to contact the Secretary with your event details and they will be placed there. The WHAT’S ON page is rapidly becoming the best place to find out what is happening in the Gardening World. We will have facilities for you to enter your own details on the site.
2 Each issue of the Royal’s magazine “The Gardeners Gazette” comes with an inclusion that has all of the forthcoming events. This is a free service for members.
3 Leaflets can be placed in the Royal’s magazine the Gardeners Gazette. The magazine gets to most Victorian groups, many individual members and groups throughout Australia. It potentially reaches 30,000 gardeners. To cover the cost of placing the leaflet in the magazine a charge of $25 applies. We require 900 leaflets, a5 size. They must be supplied to the Secretary by a specific deadline (available from the Secretary)
4 The Royal has significant displays at the Melbourne International Flower & Garden Show and at the ABC Spring Event. Member groups can publicise their activities there as well. These events attract many thousands so are prime opportunities for promotions. The Royal is also involved in other events that may provide promotional opportunities.
Depending on the event other promotional opportunities may be available. Contact the Secretary.
The Royal is there to support its members so please use the service.
Also promote the various services to your members so they can benefit from them.
